Name: Dr. Harleen 'Harley' Francis Quinzel
Villain Identity: Harley Quinn
Age: 25
Sex: Female
Relatives:
Father: Dr. Jonathan Quinzel
Mother: Dr. Eileen Quinzel
Picture or sig:
Personality: Harleen Quinzel is a vibrant, bubbly, social, stunningly attractive and bright young woman, who harbors a darker side that has yet to completely reveal itself to those around her. Her intelligence and dedication to her scholastic endeavors earned her high marks and she graduated at the top of her class. While interning at Arkham Asylum, it's when she requests to analyze one of its more dangerous patients, the master criminal known simply as The Joker, that her life is ultimately changed and her solitary focus becomes him. As Harley Quinn, her persona dresses as a harlequin jester to compliment the Joker, whom she is insanely devoted to, is a devious - and despite her often playful manner - dangerous villain in her own right, while every now and again, glimpses of her former self shines through. Unlike the Joker, there are times when she shows compassion toward others, but that can quickly change if her 'Puddin' or their relationship is threatened in any way.
Powers:
- Exceptional flexibility and agility due to her gymnastic background
- Incredibly strong and quick
- After a period of time, Harley becomes immune to all toxins
Weakness:
- The Joker
- Due to her obsession with the Joker, she can become an easy target when not paying attention to her surroundings, if she is focused solely on him, or being what she perceives as lied to regarding his feelings for her
- Occasional klutziness
- A softer heart than she would admit to
Weapons or Gadgets:
- Pop gun
- Various Joker 'toys'
- Anything that can possibly be used as a weapon in close proximity
Miscellaneous information:
- While Harley is completely devoted to the Joker and committed to his 'cause,' she can quickly turn on him in anger and retaliate against him if she feels betrayed - regardless if that betrayal was intentional or inadvertently part of one of his 'jokes.'
History:
Growing up in a life filled with wealth and privilege, her childhood and teen-aged years included very little turmoil for the bright, pretty, blonde girl. Her parents doted on her and gave her everything she wanted, so little Harleen never knew what it was like to struggle, for anything. Her peers were equally obliging and many envied her. Throughout these years and despite the fact that she wanted for nothing, Harley never developed a superiority complex or felt that she should be treated any differently than her classmates. This same mindset carried over into her college years and she worked very hard to succeed and earn the high grades she received.
Upon completion, she applied for internship at Arkham Asylum and was accepted shortly after. Since she'd always been fascinated with the criminal mind, she was immediately drawn to Arkham's most famous psychopath, becoming almost instantly smitten with him. The fateful encounter paved the way for her descent into the Joker's cruel and twisted world.
Sample RP:
"I don't think you understand," the young woman said, turning toward her skeptical colleague, clearly disheartened by the fact that he was being so difficult, instead of readily agreeing to the proposition. "This is perfect for me, it really is." Her eyes focused on him directly, trying to emphasize her point before he had another chance to argue. "It's what I've been studying for all along, isn't it?" When he didn't immediately respond, she persisted further. "Well, isn't it?"
He had no choice but to resign, then, for he could already tell that if he were to continue to argue with her, it wouldn't do him any good if she was that determined, so he simply surrendered with a reluctant nod and heavy sigh. Pleased that he had finally given in, a bright smile lit up her pretty face and she retrieved her clip board from her desk, clutching it against her chest. "Good, it's settled then," she confirmed, sounding confident; and yet beneath that exterior, she couldn't help the apprehension, not knowing what to expect or what truly awaited her down that hallway; but this was an opportunity she couldn't and wouldn't pass up.
